This experiment was undertaken to investigate effects of moxibustion apply to a meridian point Pishu (B 20, A group) and Weishu (B 21, B group) on the serum album-in, total protein, sodium, potassium, chloride and plasma osmolality in conscious rabbits
The results obtained were :
1. Both in control and experiment groups the serum albumin concentration were not changed.
2. From 3 to 4 hour the serum total protein concentration was decreased significantly in control group, but it was not changed in experiment groups.
3. After 3 hour the sesum sodium concentration was decreased significantly in centrol group.
It was decreased significantly after 1 hour in A group.
From 2 to 3 hour it was decreased significantly in B group.
4. From 0.5 to 2 hour the serum potassium concentration was decreased, but after 3 hour it was increased significantly in A group,
Both in control and B group it was not changed.
5. From 1 to 3 hour the serum chloride concentration was increased significantly in A group, but both in control B group it was not changed.
6. From 2 to 5 hour plasma osmolality was increased significantly in control group.
In B group, it was decreased significantly after 1 and 4 hour but it was not changed in A group.
